We're conveniently situated just 8 miles from downtown Brevard, 15 miles from Hendersonville, and a mere 7 miles from both Dupont State Forest and the entrance to Pisgah National Forest. Nature enthusiasts, hikers, and outdoor adventurers will find themselves in paradise with easy access to an array of trails, waterfalls, and natural attractions.
Waterfall Wonderland: Transylvania County, home to Brevard, Pisgah Forest and Penrose, is renowned for its waterfalls, boasting over 250 unique and stunning cascades. Campers can embark on adventures to discover these hidden gems or simply revel in the beauty of the surroundings on Jeter Mountain.

Meet Scott and Cherie Goldsmith, Owners of A Mountain View Vacation
Scott and Cherie Goldsmith are the visionaries and heart behind A Mountain View Vacation. Their journey towards creating this tranquil haven for travelers began with a promise of love and a dream of a perfect home.
When Scott and Cherie first married, Scott made a heartfelt promise to Cherie - to build her the home of her dreams. With Scott's background as a skilled residential builder, there was no doubt that this dream home would be nothing less than perfection. However, the search for the ideal location proved to be a five-year adventure, leaving Cherie with moments of doubt about whether they would ever see their family home come to life.
Fortunes changed when Scott ventured into the world of real estate. He, along with his brother, stumbled upon a breathtaking 43-acre property that captured their hearts. Scott's unwavering commitment to Cherie's dream saw him securing a 5-acre parcel from this amazing property, where her dream home would finally stand.
At the time, all Cherie could see was a thick forest that concealed the true beauty of the land. It was only when Scott started removing trees that the magnificent views began to reveal themselves. September of 1999 marked the beginning of construction on their family home, and in January 2000, Scott, Cherie, and their 2-year-old son, Colton, moved into their picturesque abode.
Over the next 23 years, the Goldsmiths cherished every moment spent on Jeter Mountain, raising their son amid the serenity and grandeur of their surroundings. It was here, amidst ever-changing yet perpetually beautiful views, that they discovered a shared passion for sharing the gift of nature with others.
In 2023, they decided it was time to open their private piece of paradise to the world. A Mountain View Vacation, LLC was born, offering a unique experience for senior RV campers. With just two carefully curated sites, Scott and Cherie ensure that guests can savor the awe-inspiring views and peaceful ambiance without the typical crowding found in traditional campgrounds.
Scott and Cherie's enduring love story, dedication to their dream, and their commitment to providing others with the opportunity to savor the beauty of Jeter Mountain are at the core of A Mountain View Vacation. Their journey is an inspiration, and their slice of heaven is now a place where travelers can create their own cherished memories amid the breathtaking vistas and tranquility of the North Carolina mountains.
