Although both sites have virtually the same view this site is directed toward the view of Looking Glass Rock in the Pisgah National Forest. The name “Looking Glass” is derived from its appearance when rainwater freezes on its surface and reflects the sun like a mirror. Looking Glass Rock is a photographers favorite, you do not have to leave your campsite for some of the best photos. Bring your zoom lens for some amazing close up shots.
Although both sites have virtually the same view this site is directed toward the view of the Little River Valley. Which overlooks the serene Little River Valley filled with pasture land and farms. The Little River meanders through the valley and produces "lakes" when we have heavy rains. Transylvania County is known as the Land of Waterfalls and not just because of over 250 unique waterfalls but we receive an average of over 90 inches of rain annually.
The sites are drive-in sites and therefore we recommend Class A, B and C motorhomes, 38 feet or less in length. If you have a pull behind camper or longer than 38 feet, please call to discuss, as we may be able to accommodate.
